This summer it’s all about skin care and finding our right moisturiser. Following the best four sunscreens research by reviews.com for this summer, we now talk moisturiser! A few of you have been asking what moisturiser we use on our skin for our day to day. We talk a lot about our food essentials yet we realised we don’t share enough about what we use for our skin.
Keeping the Upper Hunter Healthy for over 15 years
As we were in Australia in April this year, we visited family in the Upper Hunter in New South Wales. Thus, Daen’s Dad suggested we visit Pat Collins’ Total Health & Education Centre not far from their place in the town of Muswellbrook. Pat Collins is fairy well known in Australia as she runs a successful health centre and has recently released her new book Wondrous World of Weeds. Visiting the centre was a bit like walking into a treasure cave. With a full team of practitioners and therapists, the centre has been “Keeping the Upper Hunter Healthy for over 15 years”. From Full Health Appraisal, Herbalism, Hypnotherapy, Acupuncture, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Remedial Massage, to Reiki and many more, the centre offers plenty to look after the people of this area. In addition, you’re also able to purchase the items Pat sells in her online shop. Tea, herbs, oils…
Yep, We Use Carrot Base moisturiser
On the main street of Muswellbrook, Pat’s shop is filled with spices, tea blends, skin care products and her books. we’ve been trailing and using organic and “free from” products from Green People and Evo for our hair and skin care. For that reason, we were definitely keen to try something new. This carrot juice based moisturiser is free from all the nasties we try to avoid nowadays. As carrots contain beta carotene, it’s a great skin nutrient overall and probably underused in this field.
It also contains carrot juice, mallow, macadamia oil, honey, emulsifying wax, glycerine, neroli fragrant oil, tincture of benzoin.
Dying to know what it feels like
This moisturiser never fails to tighten your skin and leave the you feel smooth. Ideal for sensitive and troubled skin. As the moisturiser contains macadamia oil, honey and neroli fragrant oil. The smell left on you has a bit of sweetness and warmth. Although I have been using it this summer, I’m looking forward to using it during our cold European winter too.
