Peanut Butter, Banana, Kale: Your Protein Green Smoothie this winter!

As we went vegan for the whole month of January (Veganuary) we looked for a green  smoothie we could either have at home or take away to work with us. As Daen loves his peanut butter and I always have kale or spinach in the fridge it was easy to make something healthy and tasty. Why buy a smoothie outside when you have all the ingredients as part of your food essentials to make at home?

Also we really wanted a smoothie that was going to keep our tummies full for a while and be nutritionally good to our bodies. Protein powder was a must as no fish/meat/egg or any other animal products (we used hemp protein), which also makes it great to have as a post workout. Peanut butter has good fat and more protein, spinach or kale are powerhouse greens and coconut water makes it all come together. I guess we all look for those nutritious ingredients, especially when one of us in a qualified nutritionist. This is a perfect smoothie to have as a healthy snack around 11am or 4pm to keep you going or again have after a good work out! And this green smoothie takes less than 2 minutes to blend together!
